John's career as a wood turner began about 30 years ago.

Today he is one of NZ’s leading Wood Sculptors of Ancient NZ Kauri and highly respected for creating works that have powerful presence.

To get a feeling for what lies behind that presence, please read his personal philosophy.

John’s lives in stunningly beautiful Waiheke Island, New Zealand, a 35 minute ferry ride across the Hauraki Gulf from Auckland City.

At his Home Studio Gallery in Little Oneroa, , you can take a Stone Carving Workshop with John. A great thing to do with family or freinds. 6 people max.
